Concorda LineIn accordance with requests from players and artists, Walden Guitars has created the Concorda line:
gloss finished solid wood instruments with the quality, voice and playability for which Walden is known.
Concorda guitars are coated with a Polyester/Polyurethane high gloss finish, resulting in a clear
and penetrating sound. Concorda steel-string guitars feature a two ring inlaid wood rosette with
a center section of Maple and Mahogany, understated micro-dot position markers, and the elegant
headstocks used on the SupraNatura line of guitars. A full range of body selections, wood combinations,
and solid top and all-solid wood models are available. Included in this line is Walden’s "Stage" model, optimized for live performance.
Standard LineWalden's Standard line of gloss finished guitars is the realization of our goal to build acoustic guitars with exceptional tonewoods,
construction quality and features at prices previously unavailable. The Standard focuses on providing a solid value
without compromise to the musician. Mahogany, known for its stability, is used on all guitar necks. Beautiful
solid Rosewood fingerboards and distiinctive Walden Rosewood bridges grace every Standard guitar.
A 2-ring rosette is inlaid into every fully-bound Standard body.
Natura LineHigh-grade all solid wood soundboards, Mahogany necks, and Indian Rosewood bridges and fingerboards guarantee rich,
dynamic sounding guitars that improve the more you play. All Natura bodies and necks are fully bound and incorporate
the understated elegance of tasteful trim designs. A pearl Walden logo, 2-ring inlaid rosette, and distinctive Walden headstock
and bridge grace every Natura guitar. In the U.S. tradition, neck and body are finished separately with satin lacquer and joined
by a hand-fit bolt-on neck joint. This neck design results in a clean transition between the neck and body. Inside each Natura guitar
we incorporate a scalloped-X spruce-braced soundboard and a 2-way adjustable truss rod.
SupraNatura LineHandmade designs and features grace all SupraNaturas. Focus is placed on appreciating the quality and beauty of wood.
All SupraNaturas are detailed with all-wood binding and trim, wood inlaid rosettes, and wood bridges and end pins.
A modern thin neck allows smooth execution of fingerstyle techniques, and inlaid rails of carbon graphite ensure both
the stability and the sonic balance of this narrow-profile neck. Fully compensated bone saddles and bone nuts contribute
to the SupraNatura's exceptional depth, sustain and complexity. SupraNatura guitars come with the line specific faceted Walden bridge,
graphite reinforced narrow profile neck and tapered Walden headstock.
Madera LineYou’re Part of the Solution
Ecologically friendly, sustainable acoustic guitars made of woods from well managed forests are rare. Certified “sustainable”
instruments made by ethically run Mainland China factories are even rarer. With Walden’s Madera Line, guitarists can make
purchasing decisions that both serve your musical aspirations and take part in reducing the over consumption of world resources.
The all-solid wood MADERA line is built with 100% certified FSC-Pure traditional guitar tonewoods such as certified
FSC-Pure solid Sitka spruce (Picea sitchensis), certified FSC-Pure solid Western Red cedar (Thuja plicata),
and certified FSC-Pure solid South American “genuine” mahogany (Swientenia Macrophylla).
With an FSC Chain-of-Custody (“COC”) certification, all woods on the MADERA are tracked from forest
to finished instrument thereby guaranteeing its sustainable origins. These woods are stiff and sawn perfectly on-quarter,
maximizing tonality, voice and stability. We permit visual character inherent to wood such as mild bear claw and winter growth lines.
Obtaining products from organizations with COC certification and building with 100% FSC-Pure materials is the only way
you can trust the instrument is genuinely constructed of woods from responsible sources. FSC, the Forest Stewardship Council,
is the leading independent, non-governmental, not-for-profit organization established to promote the responsible management
of the world’s forests.
Walden chose the name Madera for its association with the Spanish word for “wood.” Guitars in this line can be easily
recognized by a distinctive headstock embellishment shaped like the Chinese character “木” for wood, made of renewable pearl.
Your demand for Green instruments will aid in certifying more forests around the world making sustainable living commonplace.
The Walden Madera: “Your part of the solution.”
